OK, so I transferred my first 500,000 HUF ~ 1578 EUR to Mintos. I used Transferwise, made the transfer on Monday, and my funds showed up on my Mintos account on Tuesday. This time I did not have to contact support, the transfer just worked. Once the finds were there, I activated my “Auto Invest” strategy that I described in details in this post.
A lot of people wrote reviews about Mintos, I’m not going to do that. Check out this review from Jørgen Wolf if you would like to read one. I’ll only show you my experience with “Auto Invest”, which was a bit of a disappointment for me. I had to wait half an hour or so after enabling the auto invest strategy before my funds go allocated to credits. This is what I saw:
Not all my funds got allocated, about 200 EUR stayed on my available balance. I waited hoping that it just needs time, but nothing happened. Then I thought that my rules may be too restrictive an there is not enough credit that satisfies my criteria. That was not true, I checked “manually” and I found credits that met my criteria, but haven’t invested in them yet. After waiting a day, I decided to manually invest the remaining 200 EUR into credits. The whole point of the auto invest for me was that my money “works” all the time, I don’t want to miss a day.
Some of my credits become mature in the meantime, and I got my principal and interests paid back to my account. I was hoping that this money would get re-invested the same day, but again, it did not happen. I waited a day, no luck. In my strategy I set the “Do you want to reinvest?” option to Yes, yet it doesn’t seem to reinvest my free sources. Not sure if I’m doing anything wrong. I will write a new post if I find out what is going on.
